The RIS Rx Fellowship Program gives new pharmacy graduates and existing pharmacists hands-on experience in managed care, pharmaceutical hub services, reimbursement, business development, and management — working alongside fellow pharmacists and the executive leadership team. Our 1-year fellowship, in partnership with Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy, involves creating a new project or improving upon an existing one at RIS Rx.
The fellow will interact with many major pharmaceutical companies, network pharmacies, and healthcare providers throughout the United States, developing their ability to implement multiple programs and workflows while expanding their professional network.
At RIS Rx, mentorship plays a key role in helping the fellow reach their full potential. The fellow will receive hands-on training on topics such as:
Fellows also provide mentorship by serving as preceptors to multiple pharmacy schools in Southern California.
Enhanced knowledge of the pharmacy landscape as it pertains to pharmaceutical hub support, managed care, reimbursement, and clinical support.
Enhanced experience in verbal and written communications among many stakeholders and team members as a foundation for future endeavors.
Enhanced ability and understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturers' needs and how to interact to meet deliverables and service level agreements.

Co-Founder and CEO, building RIS Rx's first-of-its-kind platform for manufacturer transparency and patient access. Previously held executive roles across community, specialty, and Big Box pharmacy (incl. CVS). First-ever Alumnus of the Year at Loma Linda University; adjunct professor at leading pharmacy schools in California.
Co-Founder and COO leading business development and strategic growth. 10+ years in direct patient care leading an independent pharmacy group in Southern California. PharmD from Loma Linda University; PGY-1 residency at Kaiser Permanente San Diego.
Leads compliance and QA programs, driving excellence through data-driven strategies. Began his career as an oncology pharmacist, later a clinical pharmacist supervisor focused on diabetes and hyperlipidemia management.
15+ years in healthcare, with a proven track record of transforming businesses. Helped grow an independent pharmacy group's top-line revenue by more than $50 million before joining RIS Rx in 2020.
15+ years from start-up to big pharma, including AstraZeneca, a Market Access start-up, Portola Pharmaceuticals, and Arcutis Biotherapeutics, with leadership roles in Trade & Distribution, Co-Pay, and Supply Chain.
Leads day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives for scale. Previously eight years at Forward as Head of Hardware Engineering; MIT BS in Mechanical Engineering, MBA from Stanford.
25+ years managing retail, long-term care, and specialty pharmacies. Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of the Pacific; an exceptional mentor for pharmacy fellows and students.
10 years of expertise across neurology, rheumatology, dermatology, ophthalmology, respiratory, and endocrinology. Active in fellows' training in clinical communications, operations, and precepting. Joined RIS Rx in 2022.
Discovered her passion for pharmaceutical healthcare technology during her RIS Rx rotation, then completed the Fellowship. Now develops patient-centric solutions and leads key programs.
5 years in independent specialty pharmacy therapeutics. PharmD and residency at Loma Linda University; active in fellows' benefits investigation and reimbursement training.
Joined RIS Rx in 2023 as a post-graduate resident. Serves as Fellowship Coordinator, overseeing the growth and development of every RIS Rx fellow.
From the University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy. Joined RIS Rx in 2025, with experience in community pharmacy, managed care, PBM strategy, and pharmacy benefit design. Passionate about improving medication access and developing innovative solutions across the healthcare industry.
Joined RIS Rx in 2025 as a Post-Doctoral Fellow after graduating with his PharmD from Northeastern University. Now leads cross-functional teams and leverages data-driven strategies to improve patient access and drive organizational performance.
A PharmD with a passion for improving efficiency and outcomes at the intersection of healthcare and technology. Following completion of the fellowship, he transitioned into a role centered on program operations and analytics, overseeing program success and ensuring ongoing client satisfaction.
